Hello everyone!
Today's camera is the RICOH GR DIGITAL III!
We have written a fair number of compact camera articles by now, so the time has finally come to introduce the famous RICOH GR series. The first GR to be featured is the GR DIGITAL III, simply because it's a camera the person writing this article recently got their hands on. Yes, really. (lol) Anyway, let's get started!

The first photo. The subject has quite a harsh contrast range, yet the camera rendered it fully, and I wasimpressed. The sky is slightly blown out but not completely so. As you would expect from a premium compact camera, you can feel its underlying strength.
The second photo. This one was taken on an early trip to a barbecue. We were blessed with good weather, and the clarity of the river water really stands out. As you can see, a beautiful blue spreads across the surface, along with vivid fresh green leaves. Faithful color reproduction with just a touch of extra contrast seems like a perfect match for the casual everyday snapshots the GR series excels at.
These days the GR series is mainly APS-C models, but I think buying a CCD-era GR now is a rather stylish choice!
