[With Sample Photos] The Luxury of Shooting Only in Monochrome: FUJIFILM X20

Hello, everyone!

Today we're introducing the FUJIFILM X20!

This camera sits in the premium compact category. Let's see what kind of camera it really is, with sample photos! FUJIFILM cameras let you apply various looks through a feature called Film Simulation. This time, we'll deliberately restrict ourselves to monochrome.

Photo one. The tones from the shadows to the highlights are rendered very smoothly. The gradation of the sky is also depicted finely, and you can really feel the tonal range that is the beauty of monochrome photography, which is a pleasure.

Am I the only one who pays more attention to light and shadow than usual when shooting monochrome? You start to notice things you normally wouldn't, like spots of light and the length of shadows, so it's a great way to refresh your perspective.

Photo three. Another charm of monochrome is that even an ordinary scene can be captured lyrically. You could say that deliberately stripping away color information adds to the artistic quality. In this photo as well, the absence of color lets you feel light and shadow more intuitively, giving it a dramatic impression.

What did you think? This time we showed our favorite monochrome rendering as sample photos. Of course, there are also many color Film Simulations, so if you're curious, please pick one up and try it for yourself.
