[With Sample Photos] Street Snaps with Super CCD Honeycomb EXR: FUJIFILM FinePix F80EXR

Today we are introducing the compact digital camera FUJIFILM FinePix F80EXR.

The FUJIFILM FinePix F80EXR is a digital camera with a 10x optical zoom covering 27mm wide-angle to 270mm telephoto equivalent in a compact body. From travel and city walks to landscapes and portraits, it lets you casually shoot a wide range of scenes with a single camera.
A major attraction is its proprietary "Super CCD Honeycomb EXR," which lets you use high image quality, high sensitivity and wide dynamic range to suit the shooting scene.
Light at around 203g and easy to carry, it is a camera that works well from everyday use to travel.
This time we introduce its rendering and appeal along with sample photos we actually shot.

1. Eye-Catching Red Cones on the Street Corner

I shot centered on a red traffic cone I found on a street corner.
The vivid red and the yellow "No Parking" notice catch the eye strongly in the frame.
Including the garbage bags and empty bottles around it, an ordinary scene of daily life came out with real presence. It is a camera that makes it fun to hunt for colors and shapes in familiar surroundings.

2. An Intersection Bathed in Soft Light

I shot at an intersection in daytime, together with a mobile phone shop across the street.
The orange signboard works as an accent, and the streetscape appears natural in the soft light. The white car crossing the intersection and the two women walking in the foreground also convey the movement of the city.
Its charm is that you can casually keep moments you find as you walk.

3. An Urban Scene Where Light and Shadow Cross

I shot an intersection with a lot of shade, one street off the main avenue.
The alley that feels a bit dark even in daytime and the orange sightseeing bus turning the corner in the back are striking.
People lining up at a noodle shop and a person walking in a coat also convey the air of the city.
I captured a scene typical of the city, where bright and dark places are mixed together.

4. Light Falling on a Back Street of the Electric Town

I shot a lively back street of the electronics district, lined with signboards, in vertical orientation.
Light coming through the gaps between buildings illuminates only some of them, giving the frame contrast.
The contrast between people walking in the shade and the brightly lit buildings is also striking.
Even a streetscape packed with information was preserved with the atmosphere unique to snapshot photography.
